India and England begin a three-match One-Day International series on Tuesday at Edgbaston as two of cricket’s strongest batting lineups meet in Birmingham.

England skipper Harry Brook won the toss and opted to bat first against Shubman Gill’s India in the first of three ODIs at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Tuesday.

The match also marks the return of senior players Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul to India’s ODI set-up, giving Gill a more experienced core for the series.
